Connected Elegance: Calligaris and Borbonese sign an icon of style

On the occasion of Salone del Mobile 2025, Calligaris and Borbonese unveil a collaboration that celebrates the dialogue between design and fashion, bringing together two pillars of Italian excellence. This partnership gives rise to a new interpretation of the Quadrotta armchair, designed by Archirivolto, now dressed for the first time in Borbonese’s iconic OP (Occhio di Pernice) suede.

This meeting of worlds gives life to an original project where the functionality of contemporary design intertwines with the sophistication of fashion heritage materials. The Quadrotta, with its lines oscillating between minimalism and mid-century design, is enriched with new textures: the OP suede wraps around the softness of the backrest, while the structured chocolate-colored leather seat and bronze metal frame complete the design. Adding an extra touch of refinement, the Borbonese label is stitched onto the back of the armchair, like a luxurious accessory.

Thanks to its internal structure with elastic belts, Quadrotta ensures superior comfort, turning every moment of relaxation into a sophisticated and welcoming experience. The project reflects the theme of “Connected Worlds” at Fuorisalone 2025, celebrating the ability to forge connections between seemingly distant realms, such as furniture and fashion.

This collaboration is an invitation to rediscover the value of craftsmanship and sustainability, striking a perfect balance between tradition and innovation. The Quadrotta armchair thus becomes a symbol of timeless beauty, rooted in history and projected into the future with a shared aesthetic language.

Founded in 1923 and part of the Orbital Design Collective Group, Calligaris is an international reference point for mid-to-high-end furnishings, while Borbonese, the historic Turin-based brand of bags and accessories, is renowned for its artisanal quality and iconic OP suede.

Together, they bring to life a piece that tells a story of passion, attention to detail, and shared vision, offering a new perspective on how we experience domestic spaces.
