King Kong doing pole dancing: the work of Fatboy and Street Art Frankey.
Fun and irreverent design by Fatboy and Street Art Frankey took center stage during Design Week with an installation in front of the historic cocktail bar in Via Plinio, Milan.
The world’s most important international interior design fair, like the Salone del Mobile, is serious business. A little too much according to Fatboy and Street Art Frankey, who chose a special guest for their Milanese appearance. King Kong, the king of the jungle, surprises in front of the iconic bar on Via Plinio, the favorite hangout of design-loving Milan. An unprecedented and entertaining narrative of an animal synonymous with strength shows him elegantly rotating around a light pole while balancing Fatboy’s iconic Edison lamp on his front paw.
The 2-meter-tall 3D print, which can be viewed by the public free of charge, is a winning bet that can combine Fatboy’s lightweight design with Frankey’s irreverent street art.
