GANT celebrates its 75th anniversary with a commemorative campaign

The renowned American sportswear brand GANT unveils the celebratory campaign for its 75th anniversary, presenting a limited-edition collection. The campaign film, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Matthew Frost and featuring photography by Tom Schirmacher, showcases a group of talents, including Matt Dillon, Infinity Song, Throwing Fits, Tony Özkan, and Eleonore Jeanne.

In the campaign, the cast explores a historic vintage store in New York, searching for timeless GANT pieces. Through spontaneous interactions, the protagonists capture the essence of the brand’s heritage, retracing GANT’s journey over the past 75 years. The film is accompanied by the evocative sounds of Infinity Song, whose blend of vocal harmonies, dreamy lyrics, and guitar riffs creates the perfect soundtrack for the campaign.

“What better way to celebrate 75 years of American Sportswear than by presenting a campaign with Matt Dillon alongside Throwing Fits, discovering a vintage store full of GANT clothing, and having Infinity Song perform this wonderful Broadway-style musical number?” comments Christopher Bastin, GANT’s Creative Director.

GANT is thrilled to present the Anniversary Collection, a limited-edition capsule collection featuring a curated selection of archival replicas. This includes heavyweight Ruggers, essential Oxford shirts in pinstripes and striped poplin, as well as twill and flannel pieces, all inspired by designs from the 1950s and beyond. A standout from the GANT archives, a varsity leather jacket from the 1980s, is reimagined in premium vegetable-tanned leather. Additionally, the classic Ivy Harrington jacket from 1997 is revisited, with the original soft yellow hue updated to a light olive khaki tone.

“We put all our heart into creating this anniversary capsule, recreating some of our absolute favorite pieces from the last seven decades. The result is a carefully curated, cross-generational collection that embodies our heritage in American sportswear,” says Christopher Bastin, GANT’s Creative Director. “It’s a tribute to our past, and yet everything feels very contemporary and current, which I believe is a true testament to how iconic clothing stands the test of time and trends,” he adds.
