Nearly 80 years after its founding, Stilnovo returns to its birthplace, at Via Giovanni Boccaccio 15 A in Milan, with Light Hub, the new showroom by Linea Light Group, one of the major players in the international lighting industry, of which this historic lighting brand has been a part since 2019.
Almost 80 years after June 1, 1946, the date of the company’s founding by Bruno Gatta, Stilnovo has finally returned home, to its city of origin, Milan, in the Light Hub, Linea Light Group’s new showroom. Designed by Studio Giuseppe Tortato Architetti, the space spans three levels dedicated to discovering and experiencing products, without any direct sales.
For decades, Stilnovo’s journey has been intertwined with Milan’s urban and entrepreneurial fabric and with the Lombardy region, a story that paused in the early 1990s but now resumes with this significant “homecoming.” The return marks an important milestone for the brand, which began its journey in 1946 in Milan and continues to live on and evolve with Linea Light Group’s expertise and technological innovation.
Thanks to this new, unique showroom, visitors now have the chance to discover and explore the full range of Stilnovo products up close.
The two large street-facing windows immediately capture the essence of the brand, known for its blend of iconic, timeless design and modern technological solutions in lighting: on one side, the famous Saliscendi by the Castiglioni brothers, a design icon that established Stilnovo’s reputation in lighting worldwide; on the other, the latest release, Torino, designed by Japanese designer Shigeaki Asahara, combining minimal lines with technical innovation.
Essential yet welcoming, the interior space – called the Stilnovo Atelier – retraces the brand’s history through its most celebrated icons. Starting with reissues from the 1950s, moving through the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s, and arriving at the most recent collections.
Light Hub thus becomes the new Milanese home of Stilnovo, a space that tells the brand’s story, its evolution, and its adherence to the highest technological standards. This achievement is made possible through its acquisition by Linea Light Group, which has enabled the brand to continue a long and glorious history spanning more than 70 years. This history includes meticulously crafted reissues of great lamps from the past and an increasingly robust collaboration with contemporary and emerging designers, creating a high-quality collection that balances past, present, and future.
