Unveiled as a preview at Salone del Mobile 2024, this collection is the latest milestone in Ditre Italia’s long history of collaborations with internationally renowned designers.
With a portfolio spanning architecture, urban planning, interior design, and art direction, Spanish designer and architect Ramón Esteve has masterfully captured the essence of Ditre Italia. He has interpreted it through a collection that dresses outdoor spaces with elegance, sophistication, versatility, and comfort.
“My projects,” explains Esteve, “are born from a constant pursuit of balance, emotion, and timelessness. I draw inspiration from nature, traditional and contemporary architecture, and the way we interact with spaces and objects in our daily lives. I always aim to create timeless products that transcend trends, forging an emotional connection with people while fulfilling a practical purpose.”
The Tao capsule collection is built upon iroko wood, which forms its formal and material foundation. This noble wood lends refinement to the products while maintaining a minimal and essential aesthetic. Ramón Esteve elaborates: “When it comes to materials, I select them with great care, always seeking a balance between aesthetics and functionality. I am drawn to noble materials like wood, stone, and metal, which bring authenticity and richness to the design. At the same time, I incorporate modern technologies and finishes that allow for exploring new possibilities without compromising durability or comfort.”
The Tao sofa, with its straightforward and versatile appeal, stands out for its comfort and modularity. Featuring hydro-repellent fabric, it can be customized with various modular components, including ottomans and chaise lounges. Complementing the sofa are two coffee tables available in different sizes, distinguished by their exquisite marble or stoneware tops.
