Antonio Marras FW23 Fashion Show

Watchword: mix, intersect, juxtapose, blend, amalgamate materials, fabrics, embroideries, shapes, prints and patterns. Fabrics seemingly distant from each other and, by some incomprehensible alchemy, happily get engaged. Precious tapestry jacquards interrupted and inlaid. Tartan and flocked tulle, sequins and mats, embossed jersey, fake and matelassé fur, and above all, flowers.

Perforated panné velvet and iridescent cloths, needle-punched wool embedded with fabric. Prints of cascading leaves, large stray roses, geometric patterns and photo portraits of man’s best friend.

Jacquard-patterned worsted knits typical of the Sardinian textile tradition, wrap-around cashmere sweaters and found, cut and reconstructed knits embedded with macramé embroidery, lace and pleats. Jacquard fil coupé, silk twill and sweatshirts. Trench coats, bomber jackets, parkas, men’s tailored jackets dredged up from a previous life refurbished with inlays of haute couture materials such as damasks and brocades and then suddenly paired with masculine checks used in gamekeeper’s jackets.

Streetwear motifs and grand soiree motifs.
Some cream and woods colors but lots of black and black and suddenly passion red because we always follow the path of the heart.
