Stilnovo unveils the time of light with “Come Archeologi”

During Milan Design Week 2025, Stilnovo presents “Come Archeologi,” a project curated by Studio Russo Sgarbossa, transforming the Milanese showroom at Via Boccaccio 15A into a journey through time. The installation, inspired by the archaeologist’s craft, explores the connection between past and present, reclaiming historical elements and reinterpreting them in a contemporary light.

A highlight of the exhibition is the new Missori collection, designed by Park Associati, a Milan-based collective renowned for its thoughtful reinterpretation of modern architecture. This collection, consisting of suspension lamps, modular systems, and floor lamps, blends classical elegance with modern design. Fluted glass diffusers and metallic structures achieve a sophisticated and timeless visual harmony.

The showroom environment is further enriched with archaic suggestions through the integration of Rosso Lepanto marble by Margraf, engaging in dialogue with the lamps and accentuating their sculptural presence. Among the pieces highlighted is Halley, the iconic lamp by Richard Sapper, celebrated on its twentieth anniversary with a new photographic campaign by Mattia Balsamini. The images capture the dynamism and poetic qualities of light through celestial-inspired trails.

“Come Archeologi” is not just an exhibition but an invitation to rediscover design as a narrative of diverse eras and cultures, where each object becomes a witness to an ongoing dialogue between memory and innovation. The project reflects Stilnovo’s journey, maintaining the tradition of Italian design since 1946, blending masterful creations with contemporary experiments.
